New Year’s Resolutions from Ontraq January 2, 2024 – Posted in: IT Support

New Year’s is a great time to think about where you are going and what you want to achieve.

The first step for progress is to take stock of where you are. The next is to set your goals. We’ve been working hard at Ontraq to come up with a list of where we want to make changes this year:

  1. Help our customers navigate the great ISDN switch off.
BT will be turning off all analogue lines including fax and phone in 2025 and pushing all services to VoIP, we need to be sure all our customers are ready by the end of 2024.
  2. Navigate the process and consequences of the wider trend to shift to cloud with each of our customers individually – whether they are already there, are on the journey, or are staying on prem.
  3. Work on our Marketing!
We might even write some more articles that can help you…
  4. Make sure we continue to stay up to date – the IT world is constantly moving and our staff are moving with it. Keeping up with the latest podcasts, completing Microsoft exams and staying current with our supported software.
  5. Take some time to review our business plan.
We’ve developed as the industry has changed, and after 25 years it’s time to review our plans and rewrite them where necessary.
  6. Review our software.
There are always new systems out there and every business needs to keep an eye on what could help them. We’re reviewing the tools we use to support our customers and find out if there’s anything new that could help us be even better.

That’s our goals for 2024, have you worked out yours?

If you’re looking to increase revenue or grow your team you’ll need the right tools for the job. If there’s something that’s concerning you now it will only get more frustrating and more difficult to change as it gets more entrenched and you add more staff to the mix.
