The first cloud backup takes longer than subsequent backups which are taken incrementally (only backing up the data that has changed since last backup) and speed of both backup and restoration is only as fast as your broadband connection.
Local Backup
Using a local backup means that your data remains in-house on backup tapes or cartridges.
This may provide a faster backup and restoration process, but your media is vulnerable to theft, fire, flood or device failure.
